Morecambe are onto the fourth ‘keeper of the season already following Joe Lumley’s loan arrival on Friday.

The Queens Park Rangers youngster was signed on a one-month youth loan of Friday to give us a ‘keeper we could used in our FA Cup tie against Dover Athletic, which we wouldn’t have had otherwise due to Fleetwood Town refusing us permission to field loanee Scott Davies and Barry Roche and Andreas Arestidou both injured!

First-team football is something that Lumley has already tasted this season having spent a spell on loan with rivals Accrington Stanley, where he made six appearances, the last being a five-four win over Northampton Town.

19-year-old Lumley will make his debut today having, of course, being granted that permission.
