The Sixfields stadium was opened in 1994 and has a seated captivity of around 7,600. The stadium cost £6 million to built and hosted it`s first game in October 1994 where Northampton drew 1-1 with Barnet.
Manager
Aidy Boothroyd was appointed manager of Northampton Town in November taking over from Garry Johnson. Boothroyd is best known for his time in charge at Watford whre he guided them to the Premier League as well as reaching the semi-finals of the FA Cup. AB was manager of Coventry City when they visited for the first ever game at the Globe with Morecambe winning 2-0.
