The player, well at least one of them; that Jim Bentley wanted to bring to Morecambe has been secured.
Jamie Devitt has joined the Shrimps on loan.
Bentley had this to say of the winger, who has come to the Globe Arena for an initial one-month stay: ‘Jamie can play in several forward positions and has two good feet.
‘He’s got pace as well and will be a good addition to the squad. We needed a new face and he fits the bill well.’
23-year-old Devitt, who has had spells are several other clubs that include Shrewsbury and Bradford, has come in from league two rivals Chesterfield.
Devitt obviously has the experience that Joe Mwasile doesn’t, which is why he allowed him to go on loan to Altrincham to replace him with the older loanee.
