Extended Stay

Paul Mullin initially came to Morecambe on a trial basis in the summer, this trial tuned into a permanent contract at the Globe Arena.

Initially it was reported that his impressive showing, and goals, in pre-season had earned the former Liverpool youngster a contract to take him through until January but Jim Bentley has revealed to the Visitor that his contract is actually until the end of the season.

The 19-year-old, who scored twice to help us to victory last weekend and retain our place at the top of the league 2 table, is someone that the club are already in talks with over an extended deal, something Bentley is keen to secure.

Bentley knew that, in many ways, he didn’t know what he was getting with Mullin when he came in but he has proven to be a real find and continues to develop all the time with his ‘sky high’ confidence doing plenty to help.

All being well an extended deal can soon be secured as clubs soon start sniffing around and a season soon ends, which means he would be an affordable and available option to others.
