It is a rare thing on the Vital Network that we push a charity appeal, mainly because there are so many worthy charities out there and so many worthy people that every other article would be an appeal. So we usually focus on Football Aid as an obvious charity partner to back.
However, this young man, Moin Younis, touched the heart of a nation at the Pride of Britain awards and is football through and through. So here, if you have just a few minutes, we would love you to read this appeal and if you can, donate a few pounds. If you are a big company or have any contacts, we`d be delighted if you could open the vaults and help Moin all you can.
He supports Aston Villa, but this isn`t about tribalism, it`s about the football community doing what it does best, coming together.

The Mo Fund aims to kick start the process of funding a pioneering treatment for Moin Younis, winner of the Teen of Courage award at the 2017 Pride of Britain Awards and proud ambassador for the Acorns Children’s Hospice, Birmingham. If Moin is accepted to receive the treatment, only available in Austria, he will need in the region of £250,000 to fund the treatment and enable a life which can facilitate his travel to and from the UK.
Having been diagnosed with Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) when he was just two months old, he was told he would not live past one year. Mo is now 18. He will never fully heal, or be cured, but with this fund we might be able to get him the treatment that can make his life easier and less painful.
This new approach – a full body graft of genetically modified stem cells – is the most ambitious attempt yet to treat the condition. Other children who were accepted, have received this treatment and seen dramatic improvements to their lives.

We asked Moin about this appeal and he said: I can`t believe how much support I`ve had from everyone especially all the celebrities like Liam Payne, Vicki Pattison and many more. Aston Villa and the whole of footballing community in general have been great too…Villa fan or not which is amazing. Since winning the pride of Britain everything has been crazy, I can`t believe it!
Here is a great video of Mo meeting David Beckham:

As a football community, lets get our wallets out and bring the young lad the relief he so desperately needs and deserves. Donations here: https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/moin-fund
Please note the appeal have said that the fund will assist with pre and post treatment care should he be accepted into the trial. And also if for some reason he isn`t accepted onto the trial, for health or any other reason, then all monies raised will either be returned or forwarded to either aid further research into the condition or on to another worthy charity.
PLEASE share this as much as you can on your social media etc…
