It’s cup action for Morecambe on Tuesday as the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy gets underway for another season.
Morecambe head to league 1 outfit Fleetwood Town’s Highbury Stadium on Tuesday night for the first round of the JPT.
Fleetwood look set to make changes with Mark Roberts back from injury and poised for a first start of the campaign. Keith Southern (hernia) and Jeff Hughes (broken leg) are missing though as are Conor McLaughlin (international duty) and Jamille Matt (leg) is out for the season.
His sending off on Saturday as we lost for the first time this season at Tranmere Rovers means that Mark Hughes will miss out for us as his three-match suspension gets underway.
Andy Parrish (ankle) and Ryan Edwards (fractured fingers) are close to fitness and might play a part but with Laurence Wilson (knee) out for a couple of months Joe Widdowson should continue to fill in for him.
