Jack Redshaw, not for the first time, has been subject of interest from a higher league club.

Previously injury ended that move but this time it was Redshaw himself that rejected the move on offer from an ‘unnamed’ league 1 club, believed to be Peterborough United.

The 23-year-old, now fully back to fitness and showing his best again, looked to be on his way out of the Globe Arena having signed in January 2012 (but been sidelined for a large period of that due to injury) but he didn’t want to make the move on offer, after a fee has been agreed.

Jim Bentley felt the offer was too good to refuse, but appreciated that Redshaw didn’t think it was right for him and is happy to have him back.

He has, when speaking to the media, said that he isn’t under any illusion that if the striker continues to perform like he has to start the league 2 season further interest will be shown but he’s ‘thankful to still have him’ at the moment.

I wonder how much longer this will remain the case?
