Morecambe Cup Success

Morecambe are through to the third round of the Puma Youth Alliance Cup after beating Hull City 5-4 on penalties after the match ended in a 1-1 draw.

Morecambe took the lead in the first half after a Hull player put the ball into the back of his own net after wrongly thinking Morecambe had been awarded a penalty. Hull got back level through Hull captain Joe Cooper to take the game to penalties but it was Morecambe who finally procressed into the next round.
