Kevin Ellison was the match winner for Morecambe against Bury at the Globe Arena on Saturday as we caused one upset, he’s now targeting another this weekend.

The Shrimps head to Fratton Park to take on Portsmouth on Saturday with it a game that Ellison is looking to be a part of having missed the game last season due to injury.

Carrying on from where we left off against Bury is his aim, playing in front of 15,000 is something he’s looking forward to.

He told the Visitor: ‘I missed last year because I was injured but there’ll be 15,000 there and I’m really looking forward to it.

‘Hopefully we can carry on from Bury and pick up some points again.’

Ellison might have scored the winning goal against Bury but he also revealed how he apologised to his teammates for a miss that would have made the points more secure.

Not too many people offer up an apology when they score a winning goal!
