The latest weekend of league two football is here, which means Morecambe are back in action again.

Not for the first time this season, or even if recent weeks, Morecambe are looking to respond to a heavy defeat having been beaten 5-1 in midweek by local rivals Accrington Stanley when they take on Northampton Tow at the Globe Arena on Saturday afternoon.

A two-match suspension has been completed by Andy Fleming so he should come back into Jim Bentley’s starting XI.

Stewart Drummond, due to a fractured toe, could miss the remainder of the season with Andy Parrish suffering a slight tear in his cruciate that will also sideline him for at least a couple of weeks.

Shaun Beeley is in ‘light training’ after a hamstring problem but isn’t ready to return.
