Morecambe are to lose yet another player with Jordan Burrow rejecting the reduced terms contract offered to him.

Jim Bentley, as he told the official website, was disappointed that a deal couldn’t be reached as he believes the strikers got a good future ahead of him. He said: ‘We made Jordan an offer, but again it was on reduced terms and he has decided not to accept.

‘I’m really sorry to see Jordan leave because I really do think he has a bright future in the game.

‘He has a lot of strengths and is getting better all the time, but he sees his future elsewhere and I hope he does really well for himself.’

Bentley doesn’t expect the 20-year-old to be without a club for long though, as a Football League clubs are already “looking at him”, adding: ‘I know a couple of other Football League clubs have been looking at him and I am sure he will get another club soon.’

Burrow’s contract will officially expire at the end of the month.
