Morecambe went down to an away defeat away at Aldershot Town. The Shrimps were given a boost pre match when striker Phil Jevons was named in the squad.

Once again Mark Duffy played a big part in the game his efforts feed in Paul Mullin who wit the outside of the net. Morecambe continued the first half brightly but it was Aldershot who broke the deadlock on 26 minutes when Damien Spencer’s head beat Barry Roche in the Morecambe goal to put the home side 1-0 up. Not long after it was 2-0 when Marvin Morgan hit a shot from just outside the box that landed in the top corner of the Morecambe goal.

Morecambe were the better side in the second half but once again the form of Jamie Young kept them out the former Wycombe man pulling off a number of good saves.

On 66 minutes Morecambe finally got a goal back when a Scott Brown effort flew into the back of the net to get the Shrimps right back into the game.

In the closing stages of the game Morecambe pushed for an equaliser but were unable to put the ball into the back of the net to give Aldershot the 3 points.
