AFC Wimbledon 2-0 Morecambe

Morecambe saw their very slim play off hopes pretty much ended on Saturday when they lost to a resurgent AFC Wimbledon side who really eased their own relegation worries.

Had Andrew Fleming took a chance for Morecambe just passed the midway point of the first half, somehow missing a chance with the goal at his mercy, things could have been different.

Wimbledon took advantage of this when Kevin Sainte-Luce (38) put the finishing touches to a good move to open the scoring. On the stroke of half time The Dons had a chance to double their lead when they were awarded a penalty. Jack Midson (45) stepped up and converted from the spot.

John Sullivan was forced into a good second half save, however Morecambe couldn’t find a way back into the game with Wimbledon winning 2-0.
