Morecambe travel to Cheltenham Town this weekend looking to progress into the next round of the FA Cup.
Cheltenham started the season with a 1-1 away draw at Gillingham this was followed by a 2-1 Carling Cup defeat at League 1 side Brentford. The first home game of the season brought success with a 3-2 win over Crewe. Back on the road was a trip to the Don Valley Stadium to face Rotherham United in an amazing goal packed match it was Rotherham who came out on top in the end winning 6-4. Back at home and Burton Albion were seen off with the Robins winning 2-1.
September started with a surprise 3-1 loss at Barnet but Cheltenham bounced straight back and continued their 100% winning record at home this season with a 1-0 victory over Stevenage. Cheltenham`s first visit to the B2Net Stadium resulted in a 3-0 win for Chesterfield. The month ended with a 2-0 home defeat to Bury and a 1-1 draw away at Oxford United.
October stated with a 2-0 away win and Aldershot but then Cheltenham lost by the same score line to Plymouth the Jonstones Paint Trophy. A home win followed 1-0 against Northampton Town but for the second time this season Cheltenham lost 3-1 away from home this time at Bradford City. A 0-0 home draw against Port Vale was followed by a 4-2 win away at Accrington Stanley.
On Tuesday night Cheltenham`s home game with Southend was abandoned after floodlight failure at the Abbey Business Stadium with the Robins leading 1-0. Morecambe on the other hand thrashed Stockport County 5-0 at the Globe Arena.
Cheltenham were given a boost when they got the new that on loan player Marlon Pack, Robin Shroot and Shaun Jeffers have all been given the go ahead by thier parent club to play in the FA Cup. Cheltenham manager Mark Yates told the clubs Offical Website ‘I’m really pleased that all three players can appear for us in the FA Cup and I would like to thank their clubs for allowing it’
‘It will mean we are able to keep the squad together and have a range of options to choose from.’

Pack is on loan to Cheltenham fom Portsmouth after coming through the youth ranks at Pompey he made his first team debut in August 2010. He signed on loan at Cheltenham just before the summer trandfer window closed.

Morecambe will be boosted by the return of Andy parrish while Chris Shuker still has 2 games to run of his 3 match ban. Will Haining is also not ready to return to the side just yet.
