Morecambe have signed two players following sucsessful loan spells with the club.

Teenage goalkeeper has Chris Kettings has joined on loan from Blackpool untill the end of the season. Kettings came up through the youth system at Manchester City before moving to Blackpool in the summer of 2009. He signed his first pro deal with the Seasiders in the summer but has yet to make a first team appearance for Ian Holloway’s team.

The second signing is Jordan Burrows who joins on an 18-month-deal on a free transfer from Chesterfield. The young forward was the leading scorer for the Spirites youth team last season with 26 goals. He signed a 6 month deal with the Derbyshire club in July but has been allowed to leave the club to join Morecambe.

Altrincham striker Jack Redshaw has also been on trial with Morecambe in the last week although it’s not yet clear if he will be offered a contract with the club.

In other news goalkeeper Barry Roche has extended his current contract at the club to the end of the 2013/14 season. Roche has been a regular fixture in goal since he joined the club in 2008 and is the current club captain.

    Great news! Don’t know anything about the goalkeeper but Jordan Burrows sounds just like what we need. Fantastic news about Baz too!
