A Phil Jevons penalty 10 minutes from time earned Morecambe a deserved point at Cheltenham Town.

Garry Hunter had the Shrimps first chance of the game but could not direct a shot towards the goal. On 13 minutes Paul Mullin had a chance to give Morecambe the lead but Cheltenham keeper Scott Brown (no not that one!) was on hand to make a good save.

Jeff Goulding had a chance to give the home side the lead but his effort was saved by Barry Roche in the Morecambe goal.

On 30 minutes Andy Parrish had to make a tackle to deny Josh Low a shot on target.

Josh Low did however give Cheltenham the lead just before the break a cross into the Morecambe penalty area left Low with a tap in on close range on 43 minutes to give the Robins the lead.

In the second half Josh Low had the chance to double his goal tally and his sides lead with a great run down the pitch but his final effort was wide.

Scott Brown was called into action again on 60 minutes when he was made to save a Laurence Wilson strike.

A Craig Stanley cross found Will Haining but his headed effort on goal went wide.

Morecambe were handed the chance to pull level when James Spencer was brought down in the box by Marlon Pack. Phil Jevons stepped up to take the spot kick and slotted home to level the score.

Morecambe had the better chances to get a winner but couldn`t find the net again.

Overall a good point for the Shrimps hopefully they can push on with this result and go on a bit of a run.
