The Morecambe concerns with our ‘keepers goes on with Jim Bentley now on the lookout for yet another option ahead of the FA Cup tie with Dover Athletic.

We already knew that Barry Roche was injured and isn’t going to play again this season as a result, which is why the loan return to the Globe Arena of Scott Davies was secured from Fleetwood Town.

The likelihood was always going to be that Davies’ parent club wouldn’t give him permission to feature in the FA Cup but if that was the case, as it has now been confirmed, we had Andreas Arestidou to fall back on once he was back from injury, or so we thought!

Having recovered from his stomach problem Arestidou picked up an ankle injury on his first day back in training….

Bentley now is seeking another ‘keeper signing and will bring in another loanee ahead of the meeting with non-league outfit Dover at the Crabble on Saturday, as we seek to avoid the sort of upset we’ve previously enjoyed inflicting on others!
