Morecambe are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performance by Shaun Miller in the five two victory over Wimbledon at the weekend at Kingsmeadow was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Miller was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘Miller makes an appearance in our Team of the Week for the second time in succession, having scored another brace for Morecambe. After going behind against AFC Wimbledon, Miller won and scored a penalty before firing home a long-range effort to put the Shrimps ahead, in a game which they went on to win 5-2.’

It’s always good to see us represented in this way, and well played to Miller for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the three points.

Full Team:

Jesse Joronen (Stevenage), Donervorn Daniels (Wigan), Adam Webster (Portsmouth), Ian Evatt (Chesterfield), Bobby Grant (Fleetwood), Alex Gilliead (Carlisle), Ben Reeves (MK Dons), Alan Judge (Brentford), Shaun Miller (Morecambe), Andre Gray (Burnley), Chris Martin (Derby).

Manager – Steve Cotterill (Bristol City).
