Continued budget cuts at Morecambe leave Jim Bentley needing to scour the Non-League and bargain bucket areas for recruits this summer.

However, that’s not a bad thing as there are many a gem to be found in these areas!

One such player is Stockport’s Alex Kenyon, named their Player of the Year last season. With Stockport going part-time, following another relegation, but the midfielder keen to remain fulltime a move to The Globe could be on.

The Lancaster Guardian is reporting a Morecambe interest in the 20-year-old former Everton youngster, who has been described as “one of the few shining lights in a horrible season” that saw Stockport drop into the Conference North.
