James Spencer is enjoying his time on loan at Morecambe. The striker on loan from Huddersfield Town has emerged from the bench a number of times this season and Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Cheltenham was no different. Speaking to the clubs official website about the game James said ‘I enjoyed it on Saturday when I came on. I’m glad that I played a part in us getting a point which I thought we deserved. It was a definite penalty and I thought I had scored a winner late on but their keeper pulled off a great save.’

Spencer has done very well this season considering he had very little experience of league football when he signed for Morecambe although he did have a spell on loan at Northwich Victoria last season.

Spencer’s loan deal ends at the end of the year although there is hope from the Morecambe fans that a deal can be done to keep him for the rest of the season.

Keep up the good work Jimmy!
