Morecambe were beaten for the first time this pre-season on Saturday, as a first game at the Globe Arena was played in over two-months.

Scottish outfit Dundee were the first home visitors this season and it was they that ran out 4-2 winners in the end.

The Shrimps went ahead through Padraig Amond before Kieron Cadogan and Gary Harkins gave the Scottish premier league side a two-one half time lead.

One of Jim Bentley’s summer arrivals Ryan Edwards headed us level at two-two but further goals from Martin Boyle and Gary MacDonald, his late on to kill off the game, saw the visitors to a four-two win.

Bentley using all bar one player, giving plenty of game time to many, was the main thing to take from this game of course.
