Morecambe have taken up the option of handing midfielder Andy Fleming a new one year contract that will keep him at the club until summer 2013.

Fleming has been at the club for almost 2 years and has done well despite suffering from persistant injury problems and he was recently ruled out for the rest of the season.

Jim Bentley has also confirmed the club is in talks with Andy Parrish about extending his contract and he told The Visitor ‘We are also in talks with Andy Parrish who is another we would love to have with us next season. He has grown as a player with the club and is another young player who has come a long way with us and will continue to improve.’

Parrish, whose deal runs out this summer, has been in fine form since arriving at the club and is considered as a contender for this seasons Player Of The Year award.
