The League Two fixtures for Season 2015-16 have been released by the Football League. Morecambe start their new campaign on Saturday August 8th with a fixture against Hartlepool at Victoria Park and end it at home on Saturday May 7th 2016 against York City. Other fixtures of interest include the derbies against local rivals and Nemesis Accrington Stanley, who they play at home on Saturday 15th August and away on Saturday 16th April 2016. The Shrimps will host Carlisle United on Saturday 27th February 2016 and play at Brunton Park on Saturday 10th October 2015. The Eric Morecambe Trophy will be contested with Luton Town at the Globe Arena on Tuesday 29th September and at Kenilworth Road on Tuesday 1st March 2016. Morecambe will also face Leyton Orient for the first time at home on Saturday 24th October and the second time at Brisbane Road on Saturday 19th March 2016. Their first football league fixture against Yeovil will be at Huish Park on Saturday 5th September and at home on Saturday January 16th 2016. Finally, Shrimps` fans will be pleased to see Barnet – against whom Morecambe played their first ever game in the Football League – back where they belong after a brief absence in the Conference. They will meet at the Bees` new home – the Hive, appropriately enough – on Saturday 21st November and the return fixture in Lancashire will be played on Saturday 2nd April 2016.
