This weekends opponents are Torquay United here we take a look at some facts about the club.

Nickname

The Gulls.

Stadium name

Torquay play their home games at Plainmoor which has a captivity of just over 6,000 with one all seated stand situated behind the goal. The ground is currently a three sided affair although the club are currently in the process of building a new stand down one side of the ground. Away fans are housed on an enclosed terrace being the goal with good views of the pitch. Most Torquay fans stand on the Popular side which is a covered terrace which runs the length of the pitch.

Manager

Martin Ling was appointed Gulls manager in the summer after Paul Buckle left to take up the position of Bristol Rovers Manager and he`s doing a great job to date! Torquay are currently within touching distance of the play offs and have done well on a tight budget. The former Leyton Orient boss will be looking to take his current club to league 1 at the end of the season.
