So after another home defeat for Morecambe at the weekend some people are starting to ask ‘is Sammy McIlroy the right man to take Morecambe FC forward?` well based on what we have seen so far this season the answer to that is not yet known, although an away fixture at the Football League`s bottom team Hereford is surly a must win game. If we lose that and with high flying Port Vale next up at home it could just spell the end of Sammy McIlroy`s time as Morecambe Manager.

So where did it all go wrong? Well we seem to have had problems settling into the new ground both fans and players alike. Apart from to two Carling Cup games the atmosphere at the Globe Arena is what can only be described as ‘flat` we just can`t seem to get going vocally. Maybe that is something to do with the quality of football on offer lets face it after from 3 or 4 good performances it`s not been great we just don`t seem able to put a good run of results together. People have always said Morecambe start the season slowly but we are now well beyond that start and thing don`t seem to be improving that much.

It`s difficult to put a finger on just why it`s not going our way at the moment maybe it is the manager maybe we do need a change and some new ideas. Time will tell but if thing don`t improve soon we could be entering 2011 under new management.
