Morecambe have confirmed two of the youngsters out on loan have extended loans with a senior squad member leaving at the end of his contract.

Charlie Bailey and Nathan Bondswell have been on loan with Kendall Town with them having their loans with the non-league side extended with this extra month, which could yet be extended again, running until 2nd February.

These two will return, or at least should return, to the Globe Arena but Tony Thompson’s time with Morecambe is now over.

Jim Bentley brought the 21-year-old to the club in the summer after a trial spell with him making his first start in the JPT defeat against rivals Fleetwood in December with the 21-year-old coming on against Dagenham the following week when Barry Roche was injured.

With his contract expiring Bentley confirmed, on the Official Site, he wasn’t being retained but he leaves with his best wishes for the future and thanks.

‘I would like to thank Tony for his efforts since joining us. He has been a good lad to have around and we wish him well for the future.’
