Morecambe once again came from a losing position to salvage a point against Wycombe on Saturday, in the 1-1 draw at the Globe Arena.

Incredibly the Shrimps have managed to earn 21 points from a losing position, just imagine where they’d be if some of those rescued points were won points with the goal to earn the point having been the goal to win the points!

Jim Bentley doesn’t like the fact that Morecambe are “comeback kings” but does feel that it shows a true fighting spirit among his players, but he does wish that they could be taking the lead sometimes instead of having to comeback.

Bentley said: ‘We have the reputation now as the comeback kings after winning points from a losing position this season and although it is not a label I particularly wanted at the start of the season it does say a lot about the spirit and determination I have in this squad of players.

‘Unfortunately we have a habit of making things hard for ourselves and once again we went behind to a set piece which is a habit we have got into in recent weeks and that is really hurting us.

‘It would be nice to go a couple of goals up in a game for once but it is a great credit to the lads that they battle to the death in every game.’

Wycombe had taken the lead through Paris Cowan-Hall, he made up for an earlier miss, but Kevin Ellison headed home a pin point cross late on to earn the Shrimps a point.
