Chris Doyle, fresh from signing his new one-year contract with Morecambe, knows that he’s still got ‘a lot to learn’.

What he does feel he is though is ‘a leader’ but he will need to work on becoming a little more vocal.

The defender told the Visitor: ‘I think I need to be a bit more vocal.

‘I like to think of myself as being a leader.

‘I’ve got a lot more to bring to the team but I`ve still got a lot to learn.’

Having captain the reserves last season, where he was the Reserve Player of the Year for a second season in a row, he’s now looking to build on his first-team appearances having started one game and come on as a substitute in two others.

The 19-year-old has gained plenty from the experienced players at the club and also Jim Bentley, all of which he has taken on board and feels he’s benefited and learned plenty from that he hopes to take forward.
